Mr. Gladstones Ministerial Dinner: arrival of guests, 1870. British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone entertains his political friends ...at No. 8, Carlton House-terrace [in London]...Many of the guests were in Court dress; and their arrival at Mr. Gladstones door, after seven oclock in the evening, attracted the gaze of a crowd of loungers.
