General Liman von Sanders. Otto Viktor Karl Liman von Sanders (17 February 1855 ¡V 22 August 1929) was a German general who served as anviser to the Ottoman Empire during the First World War. In 1918 he commanded an Ottoman army during the Sinai and Palestine Campaign.
