A close-up of part of the Mundrabilla Meteorite on display in the Australian Museum, Adelaide. The gross structure of iron nodules is clearly visible along with surface rusting. The iron Octahedrite meteorite was found in 1966 on the Nullarbor Plain in Western Australia; the mass of this sample is about 2500kg and the largest piece was over 12 tonnes.
