Molecular model of human gGap junction beta-2 protein, also known as connexin 26 (Cx26), a channel-forming protein found in the membranes of adjacent cells. Gap junction beta-2 proteins assemble into hexameric structures in the cell membrane. Two hexamers, one from each cell, dock together to form a complete gap junction channel.
