Satellite image of San Quintin Glacier in Chile, also known as San Tadeo. This the largest glacier in the Northern Patagonian Ice Field. It flows westward from the Patagonian Glacier Plateau to the lowlands of the Isthmus of Ofqui, where it forms a proglacial lake. The lake resulted from the significant loss of glacier ice after part of its main front collapsed. San Quintin, like many glaciers worldwide in the 20th century, is retreating rapidly. Image obtained by the Pleiades Neo satellite in April 2019.
