Death on the butcher of Jacques de Molay (Molai) (1243-1314); last great master of the Order of the Templars (1298). Philippe le Bel had him arrested (1307) tortured and imprisoned before burning him alive; with the commander of Normandy; Geoffroy de Charnay; on 18 March 1314 on the full land of the Pont Neuf in Paris. By October 1307; 54 Templars had already been burned in Paris and 9 in Senlis; then the Order of the Temple had been abolished and its property donated to the Knights of Rhodes (1312).
