Kangaroo father care of a premature baby boy. This is 17 days after birth. This baby was born at 31 weeks, weighing just 1 kilogram. Kangaroo care is where the baby is held against the chest for skin-to-skin contact. It helps to regulate the babys temperature and reduces mortality and length of hospital stay in preterm infants. Photographed at Mile Four Hospital, Abakaliki, Nigeria.
