Papular eczema on the neck of a 17 year old female African-American patient. Also known as papular dermatitis, this inflammation of the skin causes a rash of small itchy bumps, or papules. The cause is often unknown, but it is more common in people with darker skin. It can be treated with soothing ointments and corticosteroid drugs, although papular eczema is more resistant to treatment than other types of eczema.
