White-breasted cormorants (Phalacrocorax lucidus) perching on branches. As its name suggests, this cormorant has a white neck and breast with glossy dark brown plumage and a yellow patch on its bill. They are social birds that gather in colonies ranging from 20 to more than 200 birds. Photographed in Chobe National Park, Botswana.
