Sandstone tool used to shape and grind variscite between 4200 and 3400 BCE (Neolithic period) in Gava Mines, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Variscite (small stone at centre) is a semi-precious green mineral which was used to make jewellery and was traded across the Western Mediterranean.
