Quibas palaeontological site, Abanilla, Spain. This site, discovered in 1994 in a disused quarry, contains a wide variety of well preserved fossils from 1.2 to 1 million years ago (lower Pleistocene). This is a site of particular interest as there is a lack of palaeontological evidence from this period in Europe.
