Astronauts Edward White (right) and James McDivitt (left) being shut into the capsule of the Gemini IV spacecraft just prior to launch on 3rd June 1965. The Gemini IV mission lasted 4 days and performing 62 orbits of the Earth. On the first day of the mission White spent 21 minutes outside the spacecraft, becoming the first American to walk in space.
