Montezuma oropendola (Psarocolius montezuma). These birds inhabit the forests of the American tropics and live in large colonies. Only the females build the hanging woven nests of plant fibres and vines, which may be over 1.5 metres in length. Photographed in Tortuguero National Park in Costa Rica.
