Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa working in the biofabrication facility. The 3D biological printer, located in the International Space Station's Columbus laboratory, is test printing organ-like tissues in microgravity, aiming to manufacture whole human organs in space in the future. Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) selected Furukawa as an astronaut in 1999. He joined Crew 7 as a mission specialist in August 2023, where he will flew with ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen to the International Space Station. Photographed on 6 September 2023.
