The gold spot moth (Plusia festucae) is a member of the family Noctuidae. The flight period is June to September sometimes with two generations each year. This species is found throughout Europe and the paleartic ecozone. The larval foods are plants associated with damp habitats. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in August.
