Triangulum Galaxy (Messier 33). This spiral galaxy is part of the Local Group of galaxies, behind the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way. It is also informally known as the 'Pinwheel Galaxy'. The galaxy contains about 40 billion stars, significantly less than the Milky Way (400 billion) and Andromeda Galaxy (1 trillion). Star forming nebulas show up as green-blue regions in its spiral arms.
