Brown violetear (Colibri delphinae) resting on a branch. This hummingbird was given its name because of its shiny violet ear patch. It also has a patch of green and blue shiny feathers at the throat. The body is mostly brown in colouration, with darker wing and tail feathers. Photographed in the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador.
