Light micrograph of the epithelial (surface lining) cells in a seminal vesicle. The seminal vesicles are organs adjacent to the human prostate and they secrete part of the fluid that makes up semen, the fluid which carries sperm. The epithelial cells form channels through which the seminal vesicle secretions are collected. Characteristic golden-yellow pigment is present throughout the epithelial lining cells of the seminal vesicles. Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section. Magnification: x200 when printed at 10cm wide.
