"Queen Victoria Receives Melba" Queen Victoria, played by Dame Sybil Thorndike, receives Dame Nellie Melba, the world famous soprano, played and sung by Patrice Munsel, in the Red Drawing Room at Windsor Castle. This scene from the British colour film "Melba" was made at the Nettlefold Studios, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. For the scene, a replica of the red drawing room was built in the studios from details given by Librarian at Windsor Castle.
