The Queen Takes Salute At March Past Of Women's Royal Naval Service In London - Prince Edward and Princess Alexandra, the two eldest children of the late Duke of Kent and the Duchess of Kent, watching the march past at Buckingham Palace. The Queen took the salute at a parade and march past of 1,500 members of the Womens' Royal Naval Service in London. This was the first big ceremonial parade of the Service,and was part of the fourth birthday celebrations as the re-inaugurated formation of this war. April 11, 1943.
