Dr. Walter Schreiber, Christian Democrat, Acting Chief Burgomaster, was yesterday elected Chief Burgomaster of West Berlin in Succession to the later Professor Reuter. He defeated Dr. Suhr, Social Democratic Candidate, by 62 votes to 57. Dr. Schreiber, a left wing liberal, was Prussian Minister of state and Minister for trade until the dissolution of his party by Hitler.
