Lord Tedder Receives City Freedom -- Lord Tedder inspecting a guard of honour formed by cadets of No. 296, Stoke Newington and 793, St. Olave's Grammar School, A.T.C. Squadrons at the Lanision House to-day (Tuesday). The Freedom of the City of London was to-day (Tuesday) conferred on marshal of the Royal Air Force Lord Tedder Chief of the Air Staff and wartime Deputy Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force. In an open carriage Lord Tedder drove from the law Courts through the City streets to the Guildhall to receive the Freedom, and then on to the Mansion House. May 28, 1946.
