He is 74, and today celebrated his 60th anniversary in the typewriter trade. Unlike most people who deal with such things, he thinks typewriting and shorthand are "fascinating." He was a messenger boy back in 1888. working 80 hours a week, when he saw an ad. in a newspaper for an office boy, five bob a week, plus typing and teaching tuition. He got it and started on May 14, 1888. Now he is managing director of the firm, Rebuilt Typewriter Co. Hty., Ltd., in Hunter- street. March 14, 1948.
