Mr. Tilley resigns as Change chairman Mr. Tilley Mr. F. E. Tilley has resigned from the positions of chairman of the Sydney Stock Exchange and of the Australian Associated Stock Exchanges, and also from the Sydney 'Change committee. The resignation is because of ill- health and strain of overwork. Mr. Tilley has been chairman of the Sydney Stock Exchange continuously for almost 12 years, and chairman from 1939 to 1941. During the war years heavy responsibilities fell on Mr. Tilley, and he frequently figured prominently in extremely delicate negotiations with the Government. These included the fixation of share prices within narrowed limits. July 4, 1952.
