Little Town Of Bethlehem -- Here is a night view of Bethlehem, not the original shrine of Christianity, but Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, named on Christmas eve in 1741 by early Moravian settlers in honor of the holy land city. In the background, a top South Mountain, shines a huge electric star, visible for 12 miles. Erected this year, it is 60 feet high and 50 feet wide and stands 500 feet above the Lehigh River. Preparing for an influx of Christmas visitors, the city has illuminated its "Hill To Hill" bridge and 22 city blocks with yuletide lighting display. December 22, 1937.
