"King Of Rome" Centenary In Paris - The cradle present to the Emperor by the town of Paris on the day of his son's birth. The centenary of Napoleon's son, more commonly known in France as "Roi de Rome", is now being celebrated. Various souvenirs have been collected and put on show at the Pavillon de l'Orangerie in the Tuileries Gardens. They recall the short and tragic life of the boy who was to succeed as Emperor of France but died too young to Fulfill his father's wish. The "King of Rome" died in Austria where he spent most of his life. December 19, 1932.
