Setaceous Hebrew character (Xestia c-nigrum) moth, a member of the family Noctuidae. The flight period is May to October with two broods each year. This species is found throughout Europe and the Palearctic ecozone as well as North America. The larval food plants include nettles, although a wide range of plants have been recorded.
