Blood-vein moth (Timandra comae). The flight period of this moth is usually March to July with a second generation from August to September. It occurs in damp meadows and gardens and is found across western and central Europe. The larvae feed on a low growing plants such Dock and Sorrel. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in April.
