City of Buckow: Brecht Weigel House (museum); built 1911 by Berlin based sculptor Georg Roch; front view with poster (inscription with quote of Bertolt Brecht from 1951); This atelier house (design: Bruno M鰄ring); also called "iron villa" as all windows were fenced with claws grids; was home of dramatist; playwriter and poet Bertold Brecht from 1952 to 1956 and of actress Helene Weigel; from 1952 until her death 1971. Since 1977; it is a museum and event location. here; in 1953 Bertolt Brecht wrote the "Buckower Elegien" (cyclus of poems).
