The tower and beacon turret of this outstanding medieval church are a sturdy landmark for miles westward. It is a perfect Victorian restoration of a fine Perpendicular church. The E. end was entirely rebuilt by F. Preedy of Worcester; and a vast window with Hardman glass was inserted in 1882; there is good late 15th-century glass in the vestry. The carved organ case; c. 1500; is the oldest in Britain. The intricately carved screen; once painted; is now highly polished; and the Tudor roofs are wonderful. The sturdy medieval choir-stalls and medieval tiles have been supplemented by Godwin. The font is a huge lump of dolerite; and there is an interesting Easter Sepulchre in the N. chapel; an 18th-century painting of Moses and Aaron; and some interesting tombs and hatchments. Views of the church from the surrounding countryside are perfectly complemented by the views from the churchyard.
