Softwood with pigments.
Two doors; inside drawer. On the two upper door panels Mary and Joseph on the search for
shelter and a representation of the flight to Egypt resp. Below large; airily painted
bouquets of flowers. On the wreath indistinctly referred to; below "Joseph Clo" and motto:
"He who loves God right has the most beautiful art; Anno 1774".
Measurement: 172x122x50cm.
Provenance:
Collection Prof. Thomas Olbricht; purchased at the auction house Hampel; Munich. Povenance stated there: Farm of the Clo farmers between Tegernsee and Schliersee.
