Around 1740.
Nutwood; rootwood; elmwood and others polished and laid-in. Engraved ivory inlays. Gilt brass fittings. Brass and iron locks.
Expansive; three-drawer chest on elaborately carved volute feet and with curved front.
Correspondingly shaped; two-door top with pilasters and curved cornice. Six drawers
inside. Inlays in framed sections show ribbons; acanthus decor and vases with flowers. On
cleats additional inlays depicting the female allegories of faith; love and hope.
Measurement: 226x140x59cm.
