Tuscany; Maremma Nature Park; village of Alberese; stately owned farm Azienda Agricola Alberese: grassing longhorn Maremma cattle; 3 of 500 of the estate; at the road to Marina di Alberese (Alberese Beach); This working farm preserves also the traditions of the last "butteri" (cowboys) of the Maremma; working with semi-wilde longhorn cows of the Maremma race (Italian: razza Maremmana). The head of the Alberese Butteri; Alessandro Zamperi; shows also historic tools of a Buttero; so the traditional leather coat "pastran?; the "uncino" (shepherd`s or cowboys crook); historic saddles; or the "mazzarella" (stick for cattle drives) in the old "selleria"; the old upholsterer`s or saddlers`shed of the estate; which is even a Museum of Butteri; a Cowboy museum. In the old Granary; built 1820; historic agricultural machines are shown.
