In Cizhou style. Ivory colored earthen ware; glazed transparent with fine crazing. In bas-relief four medallions painted in purple and manganese brown. The wall compressed in square shape. Old gold lacquer repairs (kin tsugi). H.11.2cm; ?13cm. Underneath signature of Kenzan (Ogata Kenzan; 1663-1743); but in the style of. Old collection label: No 31 M 4. Condition B/C.
