In 1934; country Estate La Fratta; established in 1208; got one of the first official licences for breeding Chianina according to the official genealogical herd book. Today; La Fratta holds 500 examples of Chianina cattle. Its meat is used for the famous dish "Bistecca alla Fiorentina" (T bone or porterhouse steak Florentine style)
