Tuscany; abbey Badia a Passignano (Abbazia di San Michele Arcangelo a Passignano); refectory (built 15th century): lunette "Cain and Abel"; realized 1472 by Bernardo di Stefano Rosselli (1450 - 1526); the lunette to the left shows the fresco "Adam and Eve are chased out of Paradise" (Adamo ed Eva cacciati dal Paradiso). Bernardo di Stefano Rosselli (1450 - 1526) was inspired by the fresco of Masaccio with identical name in Brancacci Chapel (Cappella Brancacci); Florence. A portal divides the terrestrial paradise (paradiso terrestre) from the terrestrial world (mondo terrestre). The second lunette (fresco) of Rosselli shows "Cain and Abel" (Caino ed Abele). Christ is sitting in the centre of the "Last Supper" of Ghirlandaio. In his left arm; he holds John the Apostle. In front of him; Judas Iscariot is sitting. The table is richely decorated with bottles of water and wine and glasses and bread.
