Thus; until the 1930s; Studio Diez-D黨rkoop documented the adolescence of the young woman; who would later earn a doctorate in Romance studies. The photographer Minya Diez-D黨rkoop (1873-1929) began working in the Hamburg studio of her father; Rudolf D黨rkoop; at the age of 15. In 1906 she officially became her father's business partner and finally took over the workshop for the artistic camera portrait at Jungfernstieg 34. Diez-D黨rkoop actively participated in the cultural life of the Hanseatic city and counted the artists Franz Radziwill; Emil Nolde and Max Pechstein among her models. Above all; she portrays women and children. Some families remain faithful to her studio; which continues under her name after the photographer's early death; for years. (Teresa Gruber)
