From this one end of the coat hangs down; the other falls over the shoulder onto the back. The former colorfulness has also been preserved: on a white cover there is light blue and pink on the chiton; light blue on the coat; brown for the hair and black for the eyes. Numerous comparative pieces prove how popular this type was. Here; too; a model from the large sculpture was the godfather; namely the Little Herculan Woman; named after a statue from Herculaneum; which is now in Dresden. It reflects the late style of the Praxitel; as it appears on the Musenbasis of Mantineia.
