Treasure find from Palaiokastron - appliqu?in the form of an Eros with t鋘ie (? ); gold; chased; gold; Total: Height: 2.15 cm; Width: 1.45 cm; Weight: 0.75 g; garment decoration; body decoration; history of Cupid; Amor (Eros); Early Hellenistic; High Hellenistic; Greek antiquity; The Eros striding to the left in side view and wings protruding to the back holds a t鋘ie (?) immediately in front of the body. It probably formed a unit together with the Erotic Inv. 1917.202; 1917.203 and 1925.178. The eyelets served to attach it to a robe or diadem. Together with similar garment appliqu閟; this piece comes from the find of Palaiokastron in Thessaly; discovered and excavated in 1909.
