Double-Ended Cup; 1700-1800; Made in Sweden. This birch burr fluted double cup is Swedish; dating from the 18th century. Burr wood was used for many luxury drinking vessels as not only is it both rare and beautiful; but it is capable of withstanding both dry and damp conditions. The diagonal flutes on this cup mirror the designs found on Swedish silver at this time.
