This year 2021; a post Covid19 lockdown for the Greek; Easter is going to be so different. The use of masks and social distancing; continued isolation and so-called protection for the most attended; and most solemn; of all Greek Orthodox feasts. In 2020; year of the coronavirus; it was not celebrated; so it had been one of the most unsettling and unusual holidays in Greek history. After forty days lent; holy-week starts... The "CHRISTOS ANASTASI ? was celebrated a bit early but better then last year (2020). The sound of thunder all throughout Athens went on for hours with fire works and home made fire-crackers.IN THE PHOTO: CHRISTOS ANESTI; Pascha (Easter); people in a church with candels in Plaka area.
