Longitudinal stripes and nicking on the nail of a 55 year old African American female patient with Darier's disease (keratosis follicularis). This hereditary skin disorder is characterised by the eruption of a rash of small greasy pimples, usually on the torso and head. The nails and mucous membranes may also be affected.
