Tuscany; city of Pistoia: 66;85 m high bell tower (Campanile) of the Pistoia Cathedral (Cattedrale di San Zeno) of 12th century; The campanile is not connected with the cathedral and placed on left hand side of the main facade. According to the archive of the Cathedral; the bell tower was built by Giovanni Pisano; who reconstructed a much older antique tower from Longobard times. In fact; the tower shows three different styles and times of building.
