Tuscany; city of Pistoia; Pistoia Cathedral (Cattedrale di San Zeno): presbytery with main altar and frescoes; the vault of the presbytery is decorated with frescoes of Domenico Cresti; called Il Passignano; realized 1602. In the apse; there is the painting "Resurrezione" (1606 - 1610) of Cristofano Allori. To the rigth of the altar there is the painting "Pentecoste" (1602) of Gregorio Pagani; on the left of the main altar; there is the painting "L`Ascensione" (1606) of Benedetto Veli. The two silver statues of San Zeno and San Jacopo (St James); both 1603; are attributed to the school of Giambologna.
