Italy; Tuscany; city of Prato: monument for historic textile tycoon Francesco di Marco Datini (1335 - 1410); built by Antonio Garella; in 1896. Francesco di Marco Datini; nicknamed "il mercante di Prato" (the merchant of Prato); became famous for his business success and his donation of 70;000 florin to the old and poor; when he died. The statue was restored; in 2010.
