Ivory carved; bronze with coloured cold painting; green onyx base. On cylindrical base a slim woman in narrow costume in graceful pose. Height 26.5cm.
In front on the base inscribed 'Prof. Poertzel'. Condition A/B.

The present figure was created by Prof. Otto Poertzel after the model of the dancer Anny.
Gerzer (1904-1980); who danced for many years as a prima ballerina at the Bavarian State Opera. A preserved photograph from ca. 1921 shows her in this pose.
