Copper gilt. Enamel. Remains of enamel champlev? Stone trimming. Fragment of a four-nailtype with head turned moderately to the side. Wide loincloth with
decorative trim. The crowned head with expressive facial expression and finely streaked
hair and beard. Height 16cm. Condition B. Hands and feet missing.

Provenance:
Collection Franz Monheim; Aachen (1891-1969); via succession in family ownership until
today.

Verso old adhesive label: Found in the ruins of St. Mary's Abbey at York: in 1826.
