Oak case with Boulle-technique veneer; tortoise shell and brass ornamentally laid in. Gilded bronze applications. Enamel cartouches. Scalloped cut console base. Thereon resting on four sphinges a case with breakfront edges; atop this a female Caryatide. High; stepped cornice with vases and the goddess Hebe sitting on an eagle. The magnificent; pierced dial with Roman hour cartouches and engraved minutes. Rectangular pendulum movement; converted into a lever movement; thread suspension and half-hour chime on a bell on top. Height 91cm.
The movement inscribed Thuret Hlger du Roy.
