GILDED BRONZE CARTEL CLOCK LOUIS XV
Paris. Ca. 1750. Alexandre Le Faucheur
Gilded bronze. Enamel dial. Rocaille-shaped case decorated with laurel branches and scrolls. As finial a sitting Chinese with parasol. Round dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minutes. Large flattened pendulum mechanism with verge movement; thread suspension and half-hour chime on a bell. Height 55cm.
Dial and movement inscribed Le Faucheur ?Paris.
