GILDED BRONZE PENDULUM CLOCK WITH GARDENER
Paris. Ca. 1800-10. Lepaute
Bronze gilded and partly patinated. Marble base. Enamel dial. Cross-rectangular case decorated with Genii and ornaments. On the case a young man pushing a wheelbarrow in the shape of a stylised bird of prey. On the barrow stands a pot with an artichoke. Arabic numerals and minutes. Large pendulum movement with thread suspension and half-hour chime on a bell.
Height 42cm.
Inscribed on the dial Lepaute ?Paris.
Condition C. Movement in need of restauration. Pendulum and keys missing.
